A collaborative session exploring how Pilates and running science can be integrated to improve performance, efficiency, and injury prevention.

Running performance is not driven by endurance alone, but by movement efficiency, muscle coordination, and structural balance. Pilates offers a powerful approach to address these elements through controlled movement and targeted strength development.

This session examines how Pilates principles can enhance running mechanics, with a focus on key muscle groups including the feet, calves, hamstrings, hips, and core, as well as coordination between the upper and lower body.

Bringing together perspectives from both Pilates and running coaching, the session highlights real-world challenges faced by runners, along with practical strategies to improve training, recovery, and long-term performance.

Participants will gain practical insights into applying Pilates as a complementary approach to running, supporting both performance outcomes and injury prevention.
