A practical, insight-driven session exploring emergency response and medical preparedness in sports and endurance events.

As participation in endurance races, functional fitness competitions, and large-scale sporting events continues to grow, medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest and heat stroke are becoming increasingly important concerns — even among seemingly healthy and active individuals.

This session examines why critical incidents occur in sport environments, highlighting real-world cases from both Thailand and international events. Participants will explore warning signs often overlooked during training and competition, as well as the factors that influence emergency outcomes.

The session also addresses medical planning and safety standards for sports events of different scales, providing practical frameworks applicable to athletes, coaches, trainers, and event organizers. Participants will gain practical insight into early warning signs, first response principles before emergency medical services arrive, and essential safety checklists that can help improve preparedness and decision-making in real-world situations.
